Q: Do you shoot other things besides weddings?
A: Yes, although weddings are my main gig, I also love photographing families. I do occasionally shoot other events as well as other portrait work but my favorites are weddings(cause I get to dance and have cake) and families.
Q: How much do you charge for a family session?
A: My portrait pricing starts at $350 and includes an online gallery and a digital download of the high resolution files. For a full pricing and more info, please fill out my contact form.
Q: I've heard you offer "Goof-ball" sessions. What does that mean?
A: My goal with all family sessions is to keep it fun, let the kids be kids, getting as many natural shots of you guys being you, interacting and laughing. I know that when a camera comes out things can get awkward and you might not know how to really "be goof-balls" for the camera. I have a whole slew of ways of bringing out that in your family. I'll give you games to play, challenges like the biggest most epic hug contest. Also, if your family has some fun activity or place you love or things you do, I'm all for incorporating more of your unique story into the shoot.
Q: Where should we do our family session?
A: I have lots of location ideas and recommendations but mainly I like to choose somewhere your family will be comfortable and feel like you, that could be your own backyard or a park. We'll work together to find the perfect spot.
Q: I would like you to photograph my family, how do I start the process?
A: Reach me via my contact form along with your preferred date. I'll contact you and ask you all sorts of fun questions about your family to help determine when and where we should book your session. To book a session a $100 retainer is required to hold the date you select. The remainder of the fees are due 14 days prior to your session. Photos are delivered through your private online gallery where you can download the high resolution files and have permission to print them wherever you'd like. You can also order prints directly through the gallery where they'll be printed at the Top professional lab in the country and shipped directly to you.
Q: How far should we book in advance?
A: In the summer my availability is much more limited but the earlier you can contact me the better. Typically people book their family sessions about a month out.
Q: Do you travel for sessions? I'd love to do a session at the beach or in the Gorge?
A: Yes! I I am totally willing to travel especially to fun locations! For specific travel fee info, please contact me.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Booking a session in the unpredictable rainy PNW can be a little tricky. But basically we find a day that would work for you and your family and then the day before if it's looking like their is no avoiding the rain, we can either try to reschedule or find a back up location out of the rain.
