Sometimes weddings are big elaborate events planned for months and months in advance with a 1000 moving parts. And sometimes they're a family meeting at the park with their enthusiastic kids in tow to exchange vows. And as different as those two types of weddings are from each other, they both boil down to the same thing: the start of a marriage, a bookmark in a long developing love story, commitment and love, reverence and celebration. People doing something worthy of attention. 

Julia and Brian's elopement style wedding was relaxed and fun. We met at Rood Bridge Park in Hillsboro on a sunny morning. The kids were excited and climbing on every boulder they could find as we made our way to the spot in front of the pond that Julia and Brian had scoped out for their quick and personalized ceremony. They shared tearful vows and promises, they exchanged rings and when their friend said "You may now kiss the bride!" the boys rushed in to turn the first kiss into a group hug while their daughter covered her eyes being playfully grossed out. Don't worry though, she quickly joined in on the group hug and it was one of the sweetest post kiss moments I've ever witnessed.
