This wedding. Absolutely one of my favorites. But not because it was at the gorgeous St. Mary's Cathedral in Portland, Oregon, although that was amazing. Not because it was a brisk sunny day in January and the snow and ice storm didn't hit till the day after, although I was very grateful for that. And not even because there were folks from my hometown of Fairbanks, Alaska there, although that was pretty fun too. No, this wedding was one of my favorites because Annie and Zach saw their wedding as more than just a day about them and their love story, (although it certainly was to some extent) they saw their wedding day as a celebration for their entire family and all their friends. They saw it as the start of their new little Annie and Zach family but also a continuation of a long line of beautiful marriages and strong families and a truly special event for everyone there. Zach's parents said their vows in the exact same spot 34 years before. I am so honored to have been invited into their story and to have been a witness to their celebration.
